The Mansion House, 1909

This picture of the Mansion House shows the Victorian gothic architecture popular at the time of the alteration and enlargement of the house. Turrets, bay windows and castellated eaves were added to improve the grandeur of the house. The porch can be seen on the end of the house, large enough for guests to alight from their coaches without getting wet!
